Pilates Method

Pilates [pi-lah-teez] is a full body-conditioning program comprised of a series of approximately 500 designed movements performed on a mat and specific apparatus machines.

The Pilates method, taught at our Sarasota exercise and fitness studio, improves strength, flexibility, balance, control and muscular symmetry. The rhythmic exercises promotes elongated and toned muscles. They are also noted for developing abdomen, lower back, inner thigh and buttocks strength, and create a strong body core.

It does not matter whether you are a top athlete or haven’t exercised in years, Pilates helps everyone at any level.

At Pilates Lifestyle in Sarasota, our personalized Pilates method sessions enable you to quickly master simple routines on equipment at our exercise and fitness studio. You will then progress to more sophisticated moves as you gain confidence and core strength.
